The launch for the fundraiser for our new stand takes place on Saturday week, September 9th in The Cortoon Inn at 8pm. People will get a chance to sponsor a seat or to buy a brick or bricks. More details to follow next week.

2023 Family Fun Day: Cortoon Bord Na Nog would like to thank all the players and their parents for attending our annual day of football, fun, food and craic. Players from Under 5 right through to Under 13 played some wonderfull football in some testing conditions in the rain. Thank you to all the coaches who gave up their time and organised the running of the event. Thanks to Eugene Sharkey of Sharkeys Spar Tuam for once again sponsoring the food which went down a treat. Thanks to Chef Rob for the delicious burgers on the BBQ. Thanks also to Ollie Mullins for the Music equipment, Gabriel Ansbro the bouncy Castles and everyone who helped with making tea/coffee. At the end of the day, our club's main sponsor, Finnegan’s Sand, represented by Tereasa and Sandra Finnegan, kindly gave out the medals to all the players. The club is extremely grateful for the years and years of sponsorship and support from the Finnegans.

Congratulations to Derek Savage on his appointment as Galway county Under 20 football manager. We wish him, his management team and squad the best of luck.

The club would like to send their sincere condolences to Ronan and Sinead Kelly and their extended family on the very sad passing of Ronan's sister Cliona Kelly. May she rest in peace.
