Our under 19 Team take on Athenry this Wednesday the 16th April at 7pm in Athenry.

Our under 17 Team take on Kinvara this Sunday the 20th April at 11am in Kinvara.

Our U15s played Menlough last Tuesday at home in the second round. We had some very impressive individual performances but Menlough proved too strong in the end with a score line of 1-8 to 2-13. Hard luck lads.

Our U13s played their first league game away to Athenry A Friday evening. We were competitive for a large part of the game but Athenry got on top in the second half scoring a good few goals and won comfortably 8-17 to 2-10. Our lads played some lovely football but they are a young team with 12 of the starting 15 underage again next year whereas all of Athenry 22 players are in their last year of u13. Hard luck lads.

Well done to our intermediate team who had a great win over Killererin on Saturday evening. Wishing Adrian Varley a speedy recovery from an injury sustained during the game.

Cortoon Shamrocks GAA were delighted to welcome Sinèad Bradbury, Senior Performance Nutritionist, to Cortoon Community Hall last Friday. Sinèad hosted a a nutrition, wellbeing and performance workshop for our adult players and provided us with a wealth of knowledge and information. Thank you Sinèad.

A workshop for our underage players and parents has been arranged for the 15th of May. More details to follow on this.

Cortoon Shamrocks players and supporters would like to thank Jimmy Glynn and all the staff at Jake’s Saloon for being so welcoming to us last weekend. It felt like being in the home of Galway football in NYC, with fans from all over the county gathering to celebrate a special weekend together.

We have lifetime memories from Jake’s and are extremely thankful to Jimmy.
